New Beginnings is expanding its services, and we're looking for dedicated professionals who are up for the challenge of helping others during these tough times.

Our clinical team of licensed therapists and registered associates is committed to providing mental health services amid the crisis, supporting our client's growth, and fostering healthy, lasting relationships.

About Us:

At New Beginnings, we specialize in working with clients facing a variety of challenges, including relationships, families, parenting, mental illness, personality disorders, and legal issues. We offer services in forensics, trauma, and substance abuse, making a profound impact on the lives of individuals seeking help.

Positions Available:

We currently have openings for qualified clinicians licensed or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in our Chico, Oroville, and Auburn offices.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity that offers the chance for supported professional growth and clinical supervision for those working towards BBS licensure. Our clinicians have the opportunity to further develop their skills in assessment, documentation, and treatment, serving voluntary and mandated clients individually, in couples, families, and groups.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for the clinical assessment and treatment of your assigned caseload. You will maintain a 60-70% utilization of client-facing time, engaging in case management, program documentation, and community representation as needed. Participation in agency meetings and in-service training is essential, as is ongoing communication with referral sources and the ability to provide court testimony when required.

  • LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW license required in the state of California, or registration with the BBS as an associate toward one of these licensure tracks.

  • Ability to conceptualize and implement individualized treatment goals for clients.

  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work as a member of a clinical team.

  • Self-starting, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

  • Non-discriminatory attitude towards individuals involved with the legal system.

  • Excellent writing skills for clear and concise clinical notes and meeting all documentation deadlines.

  • Comfort with technology and distance-based patient management (Tele-med / Tele-health sessions).

  • Honest, with integrity and good professional boundaries.

  • Qualification/ability to provide clinical supervision for associates is a plus.

  • Possession of a California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
